Born in Wilmington, Delaware, Susan’s lifelong passion for horses ignited early as a Delaware Pony Club member. Her equestrian adventure began in 4th grade, primarily on trails, before relocating to Basking Ridge, NJ, during junior high. High school marked a significant milestone with her first Morgan horse.
College at Drew University saw Susan on the Intercollegiate Team, even coaching for a season. An NJHSA officer, she excelled in Adult Equitation. In the ’90s, Eventing captured her heart, and she evented through Preliminary on two Thoroughbreds.
Susan’s qualifications include being a licensed eventing course designer, serving on the Board of Trustees for Bucks County Horse Park (PA) and as course designer for their two USEA Recognized Horse Trials, and contributing to Bucks County Horse Park (PA) HT Organizing Committee.
Today, Susan enjoys horse sports with her 3-year-old Morgan. Beyond horses, she’s an embroidery enthusiast, Collie lover, and avid traveler. Her retirement goals include cherishing life with horses, cats, dogs, and chickens. Susan values open-mindedness, equality, cooperation, and decency.
Born and raised near equestrian communities in New Jersey, Duncan discovered riding as an adult. Once enthralled by equestrian sports, he eagerly dived into that world.
Under the tutelage of esteemed mentors Jack and Kate Benson at Briarwood Farm, Duncan first learned show jumping. However, the multi-faceted discipline of eventing soon inspired him. Partnered with his trusted Thoroughbred Tip, he competed through the Intermediate Level, culminating with a top third finish at the esteemed Radnor International Horse Trials (Long Format CCI**) in PA.
Duncan is an eventing course builder, former member of the Board of Trustees for Bucks County Horse Park (PA), former USEA Area II chairman, and member of the HT Organizing Committee. He has also been an announcer for rated hunter/jumper shows in NJ and PA.
Off the farm, Duncan explores inventive pursuits like amateur radio operations, woodcrafting and shooting sports. Though his goals remain modest, he simply aspires to someday reconnect with an equine companion – rediscovering the profound emotional bond created by vulnerability, patience and wholehearted affection.
